Warsaw’s new youth orchestra is bringing eastern classical music talent to Western Europe.
Warsaw’s “I, Culture Orchestra” is bringing musical talent from Eastern Europe to the West. The newly founded youth orchestra is giving 104 Poles, Moldavians, Belorussians, Georgians, Ukrainians, Armenians and Azerbaijanis the chance to play in Europe’s biggest concert halls this fall. On top of this, the orchestra is also bridging cultural gaps between East and West with Poland as the mediator. By presenting eastern musical talent to the rest of Western Europe, the orchestra’s co-ordinator says this will help strengthen cultural relations between the European Union and non-European Union countries.
